The action of the tension device

(1) Generate preload to prevent the conveyor belt from slipping on the transmission drum and ensure that the transmission drum transmits sufficient circumferential force;

(2) Make the sag of the conveyor belt between the two rollers meet the requirements, reduce the running resistance of the conveyor belt between the rollers, and prevent the conveyor belt from spreading material;

(3) To compensate the plastic and elastic elongation of the conveyor belt during the starting, braking and normal operation of the belt conveyor;

(4) Reduce the dynamic load in the conveyor belt when starting and braking;

(5) Provide the necessary travel for the conveyor belt reconnection joint;

(6) Release the tension in the conveyor belt when the conveyor belt, transmission roller and other parts are repaired.
